Ulyana Aster
Ulyana was born in the small Russian town Sakhalinsk and discovered her love for hairstyling at a very young age. With the aim to further her studies, she moved to Australia in 2008 and enrolled into a hairdressing course. She soon discovered that her interests were leaning toward hairstyling rather than general hairdressing which motivated her to purchase her first hair mannequin for at home practice.
Ulyana’s creativity and styling skills on the doll were quickly recognised by her friends who introduced her to Instagram with the recommendation to share images of her artistic work on the social media platform. What was meant for the eyes of her close friends and family soon got seen and shared by thousands of people a day and Ulyana gained a substantial global following in a matter of weeks.
Her incredibly gorgeous and easy to achieve boho chic hairstyles became very appealing especially amongst the bridal world.
Recognising the need to introduce wedding hair accessories and their precise use Ulyana soon began to design her own hair vines, hair combs and hair pins.
As the enquiries for the hair styles and hair pieces rose so did the idea of creating her own brand and in 2015 Ulyana Aster Hair Couture was born.
The newly established brand was an online store, selling bridal hair accessories and hair extensions followed by the publishing of a subscription-based education platform which featured detailed tutorials on how to recreate Ulyana’s innovative hairstyles.
Soon after, due to demand and popularity of her teaching style, Ulyana began to travel the world and present her signature masterclasses to countless students of all experience levels.
Her unique, easy to follow styling techniques and exceptional eye for detail have since become the main inspiration amongst her students who often become professional hairstylists and educators in their own right.
Today Ulyana is known as the primary innovator of quick and effortless boho hairstyles whose work is greatly appreciated, followed and shared across all social media platforms.
The Ulyana Aster brand steadily expanded and apart from offering quality bridal hair accessories, hair extensions and hair care products now also offers luxurious bridal gown collections in various styles.
By following her passion Ulyana not only created a hair trend that was long overdue but also introduced the world a unique bridal style and undoubtedly continues to deliver pure inspiration to all those who seek true beauty and style.
